Cahill Industrial Ltd., an Alberta based company, is currently recruiting an experienced Document Controller for an ongoing project in Alberta with the following areas of expertise:
The Document Controller will be working in an industrial construction setting and accustom to a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment, and will provide support to the Project Team.
The successful candidate will have a certificate or diploma in Records and Information Management, accompanied with a minimum of 5 years experience in the industrial construction industry.
The Document Controller must have exceptional written and oral communication skills to ensure that all documents and correspondence are maintained accurately. The Document Controller will set up document profiles, maintain a controlled electronic filing system, and create and generate reports from the document database. This person will download incoming transmittals and upload outgoing transmittals to and from the client website, and register and issue, under transmittal, project-generated documents and drawings. The successful candidate will be responsible for filing correspondence, change orders and shop drawings, and manage the flow of information across all disciplines, interdiscipline checks, and documents issued for construction.
Exceptional organizational skills, with a high commitment to accuracy and quality, combined with a proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Document Management Software, are essential to fill this role.
