I worked here as an engineering co-op from the University of South Florida. I would highly recommend this program as a student but I can't speak for full time employment because I left when I graduated.
one a week they would hold meets in the dept. these meetings would bring us up to speed on what was happening with production, company, security... This was very informative and i found it interesting.
large emphasis on work hazards and how to prevent.
Software Developer for aircraft systems (Former Employee) – Montreal, Canada – 6 May 2017
At the beginning, I applied at CAE for an internship of 4 months, and I decided to extend it to 8 months. As an intern, I had a bunch of very interesting responsibilities during this internship and I learned a lot about coding software and about the aircrafts behaviors. Really interesting to play a bit with the flight simulators.
Flexible hours, interesting task, lot of challenges

Unfortunately the good times have passed. Understandably difficult economic times has led the company to make many changes in order to remain ahead of the curve, but to what cost? Only time will tell...
Anonymous (Current Employee) – Saint-Laurent, QC – 21 December 2015
Company culture is changing, leaning towards training instead of production. Company is looking into moving engineering development in Hungary and India. Latest software technology used is extremely overloaded and much bureaucracy has been added to the software production. Overall message from management is that it is not necessary to be efficient, most important is too follow the lead from management without questioning. Mid to long term overview looks bleak. as debt and competition increase. After Bombardier's collapse on the market, will CAE be next in the aeronautical field? CAE might just be too specialized in today's market.
Salary and benefits can be good, but expect to get the boot if you last too long in this company.
Management is arrogant and complacent, Decisions are never second-guessed and always a success, True teamwork is lacking, Company managed following a taylorism thought, Extremely high rotation level of employees
Working environment and local working culture are friendly and encouraging most of the time. However it feels disconnected with upper management especially when at work place crisis. I didn't like the micromanagement of the company.
