CUSOURCE Credit Union Knowledge Network (CUSOURCE Knowledge Network) is the national learning company for the Canadian credit union system. Delivered through proven technology, CUSOURCE Knowledge Network provides access to a variety of learning vehicles, knowledge sharing and management tools, both online and in the classroom. Currently CUSOURCE Knowledge Network is looking for a versatile Learning Management Systems Developer to support its ongoing internal system developments and continuous improvement process.
This position will hold primary responsibility for the overall day to day operations and support of the Learning Management System (LMS) including ongoing development, maintenance, content management, configuration, reporting, documentation, troubleshooting, and technical / end-user support. They will also collaborate with other departments to formulate business requirements.
The position will also support the internal decision making process through analytics of the learner user base. Offer solutions and scrutiny of internal data to improve processes/productivity and provide expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing approaches that are both cost-effective and meet user requirements.
*Indepth understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM
*Demonstrated ability to configure all core functionality of LMS including role definition and user management, course management, and application settings as needed.
*Develop, enhance and technically support web based Learning and Content management applications in response to business requirements, using HTML, Java, MySQL, PHP.
*Manage and expand use of all specialized tools in LMS, including competency tools, assessments, plugins and discussion forums.
*Assist in web and server Administration and develop manual and automated deployments.
*Collaborate with other departments to formalize system requirements and training documentation for all users as functional updates require.
*Liaise with Business team to work with key clients requiring unique solutions to purchase content outside the company’s primary LMS.
*Review, evaluate and recommend information technology solutions to meet the systems changing business needs.
*Provide testing documentation and quality assurance on same systems and pparticipates in the research, testing and validation of LMS fixes, updates, and upgrades.
*Assist with establishing necessary servers to support the business requirements.
*Document any program changes and enhancements, following established policies, procedures and standards.
*Provide second-tier support to users; assist in the troubleshooting of technical issues; and work with IT and Client Solutions to resolve problems.
*Document recurring issues to provide ends users and Client Solutions with FAQs to assist users and minimize support requirements.
*Design and develop queries and reports that provide users with the information and data they require.
*Assist internal team with use of the LMS including recommended training and ongoing staff development on systems and applications reporting, process-improvement suggestions, and troubleshooting tips.
*Keep up to date with developments in the information technology field and their applications in industry.
*Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to explain relevant technologies to non-technical personnel would be considered an asset.
*Perform other duties as assigned.
