Our client specializes in the engineering, design, manufacture, installation and service of industrial, process cooling and recreational refrigeration systems. We currently have a permanent full-time position available within the Manufacturing Group. Manufactured products include shell & tube heat exchangers, pressure vessels, electrical control systems, and packaged industrial refrigeration systems.
As a member of the Production Group, you will process Production Orders and Stock Transport Orders, prioritize, process, and distribute fabrication instructions to the shop floor, update and monitor progress and manage the Production Activity Report, co-ordinate sub-contractor work, conduct Contact Meetings with shop floor personnel, and conduct a weekly Production Management Meeting. You will update standard lead time reports on a weekly basis, and provide updates to our internal and external customers as to job status. Incoming calls from our customers requesting current lead times will also be a part of your responsibilities. You will be expected to lead Lean Manufacturing Initiatives within the Manufacturing Department.
The ideal candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be comfortable in dealing with customers, suppliers, in-house engineers, and production staff.
A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word software, as well as a basic knowledge of manufacturing processes is required. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing processes would be beneficial. A hands-on mechanically inclined candidate with a minimum of 5 years experience will be favored.
