Our client is a leading food ingredients company, supplying a wide range of customers across many different sectors of the food & beverage industry. As part of their exciting expansion plans, they now seek to hire a talented Business Development Executive to drive existing sales and create new business for the organization.
With an exciting and technically-advanced product range (the envy of their competitors!), this is a role for a sales specialist with the energy, drive and ambition to succeed in this diverse and dynamic industry.
In this role, the key responsibilities will include:
Manage the sales function of Ingredient sales to key accounts and provide tactical as well as strategic direction to optimize profitability and operational efficiency.
Recommend areas for future business development based on customer needs and market trends.
Attend industry and customer trade shows in line with company approval and direction.
Develop and pioneer new business in conjunction with VP, Sales & Marketing, R&D Director, and VP Plant Operations.
Resolve customer issues and problems in a transparent manner with team recommendation and agreement.
Strive to develop value added sales that will enhance company returns for the next 3 - 5 years.
Provide strategic and tactical direction from customer feedback and market intelligence.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years food industry sales experience (ingredients sales experience is preferred, but not essential). Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are a must have, as is the dynamism and enthusiasm to succeed.
In return, the successful candidate will be offered an attractive base salary + commission package.
