CORADIX is currently searching for an intermediate Web Developer on an existing contract to provide support for one of our Federal Government clients in Ottawa. This opportunity is projected to run to July 2013, with strong possibility of extension.
*Assess designated applications against the requirements in the Standard on Web Accessibility using departmental methodology and documentation templates.
*Devise corrective solutions to failures identified in completed and supplied assessments.
*Deliver code to fix Web applications using .NET, J2EE, jQuery, HTML5, CSS and other technologies to comply with Treasury Board Web Standards.
*Work with client and/or team to test the solutions implemented prior to production release and provide technical assistance and advice to clients and/or team members.
*Provide the Technical Authority with completed page level application assessment documentation.
*Provide a report based on the assessment documentation with a breakdown of corrective solutions to be implemented on a page by page basis including estimates of effort and time for coding solutions.
*Complete the conversion of up to 30 externally facing web applications identified by to WCAG 2.0 level AA compliant as per the Standard on Web Accessibility final implementation phase.
*Provide project status updates in writing; and provide documentation outlining testing process and results.
*Minimum 12 years experience as a Programmer/Software Developer for IM/IT systems.
*Experience as a Programmer/Software Developer on at least 3 separate projects.
*Experience in designing detailed programs, flow charts, use cases, class diagrams, sequence diagrams and activity diagrams using industry standard modelling language Apsuch as UML.
*Experience developing code with programming languages (e.g., Java/.Net, ABAP, ASP 3.0, *Visual Basic 6, Cold Fusion Perl, Basic, C, C+, C++, C-sharp, SQL, COBOL, e-Script) and middleware (e.g., Jaguar, Tomcat, Tuxedo, MSMQ, Oracle Portal, Citrix, MQ Series, Adobe, SSA-Name-III)
