CORADIX is currently searching for a Business Analyst on an existing contract to provide support for one of our Federal Government clients in Ottawa. This opportunity is projected to run to March, 2014 with an additional one year extension option.
Scope of Work:
*Develop and document statements of requirements for considered alternatives.
*Perform business analyses of functional requirements to identify information, procedure, and decision flows
*Conduct interviews and workshops with both business and technical communities
*Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document items such as database content, structure, application subsystems
*Define and document interfaces of manual to automated operations within application subsystems, to external systems, and between new and existing systems
*Identify candidate business processes for re-design, prototype potential solutions, provide trade-off information and suggest a recommended course of action
*Identify the modifications to the automated processes
*Establish acceptance test criteria with client
*Support and use the selected departmental methodologies
*Develop project charters, plans and schedules etc.
*A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience providing business analysis services to support business transformation and/or information technology initiatives.
*Previous experience as a Business Analyst in a Government of Canada environment.
*A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in documenting business requirements through the development of business use cases.
*A minimum of five (5) years’ experience on projects involving interviews and workshops, and conducting meetings with a range of management, operational and end-client personnel.
*A minimum of five (5) years’ experience on projects conceiving, gathering requirements and documenting functional specification for eServices / web portals in an large scale enterprise environment.
*A minimum of five (5) years’ experience on projects involving writing/editing user guides and training material and conducting training sessions for executive, managerial and working level personnel in support of an eServices/ Portal application in an enterprise environment.
*Experience and familiarity with GoC Finance principles and practices. (ie. Accounting principles, familiarity with finance terms such as Cash accounting, general ledger, collections etc.).
Must currently hold a valid Secret level Security Clearance.
