Unorganized and lack of professionalism
HR Administrator (Former Employee), Troy, AL – October 7, 2012
Pros: insurance
Cons: everything else
Huge turnover within this company. Loved my job but the lack of leadership and guidance was a downfall. They were ISO certfied but lacked the procedures to be certified. Not happy with this company.

accounting system
Financial Analyst (Current Employee), Fairfax, VA – September 26, 2012
Pros: costpoint is a great accounting tool, which most companies use
Cons: not advanced and does not calculate correctly
CostPoint is new to the company, so they're still trying to best implement the most efficient ways but it's not always the solution to the problem.

Unorganized Sweat Shop
Java/J2EE Consultant (Former Employee), Baltimore, MD – September 17, 2012
Pros: flexible schedule
Cons: micro management; cultural clashes
If they would only follow the CMMI processes that they so highly cherish, perhaps their projects would have higher quality and lower defects. The management is also un-seasoned in proper, thorough SDLC development. Their database architecture has a formal process for changes but the original architects had already made such a mess of things that it – more... didn't matter. – less

Some great people needs to work in their managerial style.
Training Coordinator (Current Employee), San Antonio, TX – September 11, 2012
Pros: co-workers, insurance, shifts
Cons: management, hr, go over on breaks it is deducted from your pay.
In my time there several organizational changes has happened. Several policy have changed and not everyone was happy about it. They have a knack for hiring some phenomenal talent just not keeping them. In my 2 years I want promoted twice with no increase in pay.

Very Structured Company
SR. Consultant (Current Employee), Fairfax, VA – September 8, 2012
As is found with large, global companies, CGI is very structured. You are a number, but on the client site things are very different. As with anything, you have to find your place and seek out what you need from the company-its there.

Great IT contractor
Business Data Analyst (Former Employee), Seattle, WA – August 23, 2012
CGI is an IT contractor. While assigned to my client, I enjoyed a positive relationship with co-workers, management, and our client. I was given opportunities to advance, but when the contract ended I was unable to find another contract within the company. The pay and benefits were competitive. I would work for CGI again.

Not the best
Product Support Specialist (Former Employee), Cleveland, OH – August 15, 2012
Pros: free coffee
Cons: healthcare
productive but if you are not part of management you are micro managed and not treated very well. I learned that if I was able to be a manager I would not treat people unfairly. My co workers were great. The hardest part of the job was dealing with all of the major IT issues and getting them resolved. The most enjoyable part of the job was dealing with – more... my co-workers. – less

Good people, cold company
Consultant (Former Employee), Troy, AL – August 13, 2012
Pros: people, benefits, sick leave
Cons: working for banks, debt collectors, offshore
Worked as a general-type peon, aka "Consultant". Was moved to a few small internal jobs. Nothing too important or meaningful.

The people I worked with were very warm, friendly, and helpful. I actually enjoyed working with them. But the work itself was dull and - as it was to support debt collectors at banks - was very soulless.

Language Analyst Instructor (Former Employee), San Angelo, TX – August 11, 2012
Pros: long lunches, somewhat flexible workhours
Cons: lack of job security
I did not work in a CGI office, rather worked at an Air Force Base with multiple other contractors from different companies as well as military. Enjoyed job a lot.

More travel than anticipated
Implementation Analyst (Former Employee), San Francisco, CA – July 17, 2012
Pros: great pay, benefits, travel
Cons: too much travel
This position was as a systems trainer on the Sagitta Agency Management program and travel was originally anticipated to 50%. Unfortunately, it ended up more like 80-90% which was definitely too much; therfore, I resigned.
