Located in the Metagenics Professional Wing at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, the CCNM Integrated Healthcare Centre (CCNM IHC) is a private professional clinic featuring a variety of health-care providers operating their private practices. While CCNM continues to focus on naturopathic medicine, CCNM IHC is designed to attract other professionals such as massage therapists, chiropractors, counselors and other medical professionals, in order to create a truly integrated health-care experience for patients and practitioners alike. The College occupies an attractive 4.3 acre campus situated at the Sheppard and Leslie subway stop, across from North York General Hospital. The CCNM IHC is currently seeking a reliable individual with exceptional customer service skills for the part-time position of Clinic Receptionist.
Acting as the first point of contact for all patients, practitioners, visitors entering the clinic, this person will provide a friendly and invitational atmosphere at the reception desk and ensure that each visitor is attended to in a pleasant and efficient manner upon entry. Working individually you will: answer and direct calls; check voicemail and respond to messages in a timely fashion; book and schedule appointments; greet all visitors and customers with excellent customer service; collect fees and issue receipts for services rendered; and provide assistance to practioners to meet operational requirements. This position will also be responsible for opening and closing cash procedures.
The successful candidate will be required to work every other Saturday (07:30 am to 4:30 pm), and every Monday (4:00 pm to 7:00 pm) and every Thursday (4:00 pm to 9:00 pm). Hours will be based on operational requirements and may vary.
- Experience working in a medical reception or administrative position
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and superior customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with various computer programs including MS Office
- Detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Experience handling payments is an asset
