Job Responsibilities:
-Create an environment that inspires and encourages growth and creativity for all associates by managing with integrity, professionalism, humor, and commitment to both associate and brand growth.
-Delegate, supervise and manage leadership responsibilities in the store.
-Act as the lead merchant for the store, with assistance from the assistant manager and floor managers and in partnership with the visual merchant.
-Manage and coach all associates on setting and maintaining sales and service goals and standards.
-Provide specific feedback about performance directly to associates, as well as share observations with the senior manager and operations manager.
-Develop and execute the store vision and goals.
-Drive efforts and initiatives across all business channels in an effort to maximize company sales growth and profitability.
-Support the company vision and goals, including applicable key performance indicators (KPIs).
-Communicate merchandise issues to the management team, and develop and maintain the seasonal floor plan.
-Maintain, enforce and supervise merchandising standards by partnering with the senior visual merchant.
-Maintain an awareness of all product information, intranet communications, current advertising, promotions and catalogues, and communicate all pertinent information to store associates.
-Maximize effective sales floor coverage with regard to scheduling, budgeting and appropriate staffing.
-In coordination with the senior manager, develop the store, sales and payroll budgets.
-Manage all aspects of bi-annual inventory and analyze results.
-Oversee store maintenance and associate training regarding cleanliness of facilities and work place safety.
-Maintain a strong, visible and positive presence in the store.
-Promote and drive sales through effective associate training and development, customer service and satisfaction, fiscal responsibility and inventory control.
-Achieve goals, identify and analyze problems, and offer solutions that produce positive results.
-Manage controllable costs and profit and loss.
-Review all necessary financial reports and maintain fiscal responsibility for the store.
-Manage inventory levels and make necessary changes to control shrinkage.
-Manage payroll effectively though evaluation and business needs.
-Manage all aspects of performance and development of the store management team to encourage professional growth.
-Guide and develop store associates toward career opportunities, including providing appropriate feedback, identifying and setting sales, service and growth goals, progress, areas of strength, areas of opportunity, and developing plans for achieving objectives.
-Oversee the training and development of associates in operations, selling and service skills, product knowledge and personal development.
-Evaluate each associate’s skills and, with input from the visual merchant, determine proper placement within the store, as well as appropriate training and development, including candidates that should be considered for promotion.
-Develop a strong staff by managing the recruitment/hiring, training, development, promotion, disciplinary and termination process for all store associates.
-Manage and track associates’ performance issues, including disciplining associates through verbal and written warnings when deemed necessary.
-Analyze and monitor associate productivity.
-Using feedback from the visual merchant, prepare and conduct timely performance appraisals for store associates with clear feedback and future goals.
-Address all Associate Relations related issues using effective communication and leadership skills, being sensitive to issues that need to be addressed by the market manager and operations manager.
-Manage associate files, including performance appraisals, customer feedback, incident log, performance issue forms and termination documentation.
-Possess a complete understanding of associate benefits and resources.
-Communicate the company and CB2 brand vision and goals to all associates.
-Communicate with the market manager and operations manager on a regular basis and actively participate in meetings.
-Maintain an ongoing dialogue with the product managers, and supply chain and logistics associates, regarding quality issues, customer feedback, product selection and availability.
-Conduct weekly meetings regarding customer issues, associate performance and other customer service issues with appropriate associates at store, market and home office locations.

Required Skills:
-2+ years management experience
-High school diploma/GED or equivalent
-Good reading and written language skills (English)
-Exceptional communication and interpersonal relationship skills
-Excellent organizational skills and excellent problem solving skills
-Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
-Basic math skills
-Ability to move and/or lift up to 65 lbs; heavier product with team assist
-Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
