Providing service to the Accounting department on a part time basis, Canyon is looking for a File Clerk who is reliable and detail oriented and who will be responsible for general file maintenance including filing, labeling, sorting and collating documents. This position is temporary for the winter and hours of work with range between 10-20.
Key Responsibility Areas:
Accurate and appropriate filing of correspondence within the accounting department
Retrieve filed information upon request, ensuring confidentiality and appropriate accesses are maintained;
Answering questions about records and files;
Use of standardized filing methods and procedures, i.e., alphabetical and numerical
Maintaining accurate and complete records and forms of filed materials;
Adding new material to file records; and creating new records as necessary;
Eliminating outdated or unnecessary materials, destroying them or transferring to off-site storage;
Other duties as required.
High school diploma, GED or equivalent;
Completion of some 1st year accounting courses;
Experience with Microsoft Office and Navision;
Excellent written and verbal skills and comprehension;
Excellent time management skills;
Highly organized and service oriented;
Able to quickly and accurately compare similarities and differences in sets of letters, number, objects, patterns and pictures;
Excellent memory skills.
