Candura Instruments manufactures portable electric power measurement instruments. We have been in business since 1999. We are a small company with nine full and part time employees. We do our own complete product development from initial design specifications, prototyping, circuit board layout, parts procurement, mechanical assembly, final electrical assembly (surface mount board stuffing is outsourced but we do through hole soldering and prototype surface mount soldering), testing and calibration. Our customers are both domestic and international, they are primarily industrial companies and electric utilities, see http://www.candura.com/feedbacks/feedbacks.html for a representative sample of our customers.
The successful candidate will be a recent electrical engineering graduate with a basic understanding of electrical power (DC and three phase AC), a basic understanding of analog circuit design and a good understanding of microcontroller/DSP programming in assembler and ‘C’. The individual we are looking for will have initiative, good analytical skills and the flexibility to be successful in a small company environment.
Initially this position will be for firmware support and development for our DSP based three phase power quality analyzer (PQPro). The successful candidate will also be involved in future projects and be part of the full design cycle from initial design specifications, hardware design, firmware implementation, prototype testing, production and product support.
