Roles and Responsibilities:

PROJECT ENGINEER - HVAC: Successful applicant will perform heat loss and cooling load calculations, size and select HVAC equipment, and prepare specifications and equipment schedules for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. Position includes design and drafting using AutoCAD and REVIT. Other tasks include preparation of construction phase field reports, project correspondence, and facility evaluation reports.


-B.Sc. in a mechanical engineering (foreign university training with relevant experience will be considered.
-Minimum 3-5 years of HVAC experience.
-Direct knowledge of Alberta Building codes and ASHRAE.
-Proficiency with AutoCAD essential and some RIVET and energy modelling is an asset.
-Solid background in heat loss calculations, equipment selection, duct work and pipe sizing.
-High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office product suite.


-Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
-Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
-Ability to integrate new technologies into building design to meet client goals and objectives.
-Training and knowledge of LEED design concepts are desirable.
-Highly motivated and self-directed, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.
-Valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license
