I enjoy Build a Bear very much because of the day to day interaction with children and their families. It can be challenging as I often have large groups of children with multiple demands. Open the store, manage the staff an place at stations. Give breaks, manage the customer experience. Drive sales.

Depending on which store you are working at it could be great, I loved working there and seeing the smiles on childrens faces every day, working there taught me how to work with children better.

A typical day at work varies. Sometime we are very busy sometime we are very slow. Usually Im where a floor leader says I am needed or floating making sure every station is covered and customers are being helped. My co- workers make my workplace a much better place to be. You can't possibly want to go to work when your feeling out of place. The hardest – more... part of my job is really coming out of my bubble and just being completely fun and outrageous in front of tons of people. Like getting up and dancing in front of thirty people. Another hard part would be the first time a deaf girl and her hearing sisters came in to make special bears, The girls mother was present who was also deaf, so to work with these girls and come up with something quick so i could see her smile because she was understanding everything I was saying or doing during the special heart ceremony. I don't have a favorite part about my job, Its all amazing. – less

It was a job that I needed at the time and I was not very happy in that company. There were only 2 employees and was not fast paced enough for me. It was a start up company that went bankrupt.

Started my day stuffing bears and worked the cash register as needed. I learned a lot of new spanish words from tourists visiting from other countries. The management was poor, but i absolutely loved my co-workers. The most enjoyable part of working there was seeing little kids smile, and learning spanish. the hardest part was dealing with management.

Build A Bear was a great place to work !! Everyday you meet new people and help make someones day by helping find a new friend. The management was fun we were like a family.

Having fun at work is a requirement. Actually engaging with our guests and having a conversation to get to know them is the normal day. We also get to play with them all over the store in order to provide a wonderful and memorable experience. The hardest part of the job is keeping up your energy level when you are almost spent. A regular day od work would consist of, review sales goals, which prode=uct are selling which ones need more of. What upcoming events mean for business. Learning the skills of going ahead of the game to prepare for what might happen ad will happen. Great staff , teaching and grasping skills from one another, always an oppourtunity to progress and imporve. – more... i learned how to make a teddy bear and how to properly stock shelves. a typical day at work is busy busy. always something to do. my management was okay very strict. my coworkers in my opinion did their job to best of their ability. the hardest part of this job was not getting enough hours. the most enjoyable part of this job was always putting a smile – more... on a childs face also knowing that they enjoyed their experience while making their own special teddy bear or rabbit. – less

Mis dias de trabajo solian ser super divertidos y pasaba muy rapido el tiempo, aprendi muchas cosas en ese trbajo como identificar a los ompradores, a la gerenia le falta un poco de etica y direccion, los colegas eran buenos pero no querian trabajar. Todo del trabajo me gusto, mas cuando hacia las fiestas ver esa sonrisas sinceras
