Core duties of this role
Write copy for a variety of media (primarily TV, print and digital) for Canada, US, Mexico & Europe
Work closely with creative, sales and production teams
Liaise directly with clients regarding all things copy-related
Pitch creative concepts to leading CPG marketers
Communicate with suppliers to coordinate animation and translation
Attend all TV & photo shoots to assist director, presenter and clients
Art direct photo shoots when necessary
Write, produce, shoot and edit video content for BG websites
Lead brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas
Assist creative teams in overseas markets as necessary
Some travel will be required from time to time
Our ideal candidate
Academic background in Advertising/Copywriting/Communications (highly preferred)
1 or 2 years experience in advertising/marketing (ideal, but not mandatory)
Ability to write strong, persuasive copy tailored to a variety of audiences
Confidence when presenting to clients and pitching ideas
Desire to work long hours in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
An understanding of the Buchanan Group business and our branded advertising platforms
Fluency in French or Spanish (not mandatory, but considered an asset)
