Just alright
Perm, Fulltime (Current Employee) –  Markham, ON24 April 2017
It is great that most are allowed to work from home however there is a unspoken message from management that they expect you to work overtime with no pay even when you are not well compensated. The micro managing prevents middle level management from focusing on the big decisions. Opportunities for the company to be greater is there but the need the right middle level leaders to lead. When it comes to addressing issues, they need to be more proactive than reactive.
Pros
Work from home
Cons
Tasks are not properly explained, long hours, micro-managing, no career growth, long commutes to work if you leave on the west end of Toronto.

Building Operator (Former Employee) –  Calgary, AB25 January 2017
Great benefit package that was ideal for families. Learned a lot under the guidance of a Senior Operator that showed me the ropes. Enjoyed working in the older buildings as they were a challange but fun.

Good place to work but slow progress.
Young managers and don't have skills to manage people.
Depending on where you end up in the company work load varies from light to overload.

Watch out for Kelly Bishop
Safety Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Winnipeg, MB1 November 2016
Horrible start up at Winnipeg offices. 3 months after start date, no office supplies, no management, Kelly Bishop is a N*zi who should be kicked to the curb. Company still owes me expenses and vacation pay but refuse to pay over a year later.
Pros
You might get a free pen, but you might get fired for taking it.
Cons
Kelly Bishop. Spineless management.

Not a good place to work
CAD Technologist (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON4 February 2016
Poorly educated managers who only care about the bottom line.
You are placed with various companies and it is difficult to move ahead or transfer to another company.
Salary is low and raises are minimal.
Pros
reasonable hours good benefits
Cons
poor management. abusive and demanding, not respected by companies they place you at

Review for Operating Engineer, Central Heat/Cooling Plant
Shift Operator (Stationary Engineer) (Current Employee) –  Ottawa1 December 2015
Excellent company to work for. The Plant is kept in near impeccable condition, regular maintenance is done on a weekly and monthly schedule and major maintenance is done quickly and efficiently by contractors.

Chief is great, truly cares about the well being and satisfaction of the operating team.

Upper management also sincerely cares about the operating team as well as the success of the operation, which is reflected in their work. Quality Assurance is very important and great lengths are taken to ensure jobs are completed properly and safely, rather than quickly.

Excellent morale, little to no conflict between personnel.

Flex benefit package with option to renew yearly is very nice. RRSP matching by company is a good amount.

Company phone makes it easy to stay up to date with the companies latest news. Upper management and HR are very easy to approach and available.

Excellent shift rotation, not too quick between day/night switches.
Pros
Competitive pay, excellent benefits, management that cares.
Cons
To ensure jobs are completed properly and safely, there is a lot of red tape. Lots of paperwork is required even for the smallest of jobs, it becomes tedious sometimes.

Bilingual Facilities Services Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Markham, ON5 September 2015
In this position, I am responsible of taking calls from the client and placing work orders for maintenance in government buildings. I had to take precise information from them and add it to the work orders and then dispatching it out to the correct service provider. I had to verbally give the information out to service providers/vendors.The team is small and close, very great at helping each other in all areas. I learned to pay attention to details and to work in a team.
