Travel and work on diverse tasks environment
Senior Software Developer (Former Employee), Kitchener, ONFebruary 3, 2014
Pros: lots of travelling
Cons: very agressive project schedules
Travelling is part of this company's culture. You can expect to travel to many destinations in US or Canada because you are essentially building up IT and software infrastructure at diverse client sites. This company has a travel team that will help you out in planning your trips.

You can be expected to work on IT tasks, training and/or programming – more... depending on the knowledge you possess. The projects usually have an IT component where you need to setup servers and end user terminals. You will usually be sent to shop floor type environments where you have to wear security gear (boots, hard hat, high visibility vest).

You can be expected to be asked to do something that you've never done before and learn it quickly.

This company likes to hire new graduates and pairs them with a mentor to help them succeed. You will be constantly measured on your performance as it is one of the core values of this company. – less

Technical Service Maintenance Support Engineer (Current Employee), Irving, TXDecember 27, 2012
Pros: raffles, lunches, parties
Cons: healthcare, lack of pay
A typical day would consist of new projects coming at you all day long and organizing them in a way for priority and time-consumption. There are many minds to help figure complex tasks out. The management is very supportive in finding answers and people to help with projects, which ones have skills that accomplish specific tasks. The hardest part of – more... the job is being away from my family for lengthy periods of time. The insurance is subpar, especially with a large family. The most enjoyable part is every day has a chance to be different as the tasks can change all the time. Always evolving. – less
