We are currently looking for an HR specialist in recruitment, someone who is passionate about finding the right people for the right job to join our ranks.

Duties Include

  • Efficiently and effectively recruit for open positions at BBTV
  • Develop an overall recruiting strategy for BBTV
  • Collaborate with company’s leadership to develop an overall recruiting strategy
  • Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position
  • Facilitate the development of a recruitment and interview plan for each open position
  • Create job descriptions and distribute to relevant websites, social media and network contacts
  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet position requirements
  • Conduct pre-screening interviews
  • Build networks to find potential candidates in advance of need
  • Develop a database of current, past and potential candidates
  • Maintain regular contact with potential future candidates
  • Develop reports on hiring progress
  • Assist in writing and forwarding rejection letters
  • Assist in preparing and forwarding offer packages
  • Understand and be able to articulate BBTV’s mission, vision and values
  • Actively attend industry related seminars, workshops and job-fairs to network and seek potential talent
  • Contribute to defining roles & responsibilities for employee agreements
  • Recommend educational programs for relevant departments and employees at BBTV
  • Initiate internal educational programs and materials
  • Develop and facilitate team-building, skill-building and culture-building programs for BBTV staff
  • Work with public relations and marketing teams in establishing an ‘employer of choice’ reputation both internally and externally
  • Keep up to date with economic and market trends pertaining to employment
  • Keep up to date with socio-cultural trends in relevant industries


  • CHRP candidacy or certification a must
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Sociology or related fields of study, or relevant experience
  • 3-5 years in recruiting for fast-paced startups or mid-sized companies
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing and easily connect with people
  • Empathetic with the ability to understand a person’s position
  • Ability to prioritize and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong commitment to quality
  • Dedicated to the growth of BBTV’s talent and culture
  • A strong understanding of the online media and tech space
