Individuals applying must have great communication skills, and have excellent problem solving skills. This person will need to have advanced customer service skills and a friendly demeanor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and effective resolutions to IT software and hardware-related issues via on-site support or phone support. Individuals applying must be willing to travel to remote locations in Manitoba.

  • Responsible for call resolution
  • Provides software and hardware support to clients and staff
  • Follow up with end-users to ensure satisfaction
  • Responsible for gathering and documenting tickets for escalation to internal support
  • Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrade of computer & server systems, and network devices
  • Responsible for the installation of customer premise equipment


  • Possess excellent communication and reporting skills (written and oral)
  • Be able to work effectively with little supervision
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Be willing to travel to rural and remote locations in Manitoba
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills
  • Have at least 2+ years experience in technical support environment
  • Have a valid driver’s licence


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in an IT field
  • Relevant Certifications (i.e. A+, Network+, MCP, Linux, etc)
  • Class ‘M’ Certification
  • Understanding of basic construction practises and tools
  • Understanding of network cabling and associated electrical code
