Great co-workers, clean and safe environment with bad management

Typical day included set-up, running, and q/a of parts through a CNC lathe.

Learned:
Machine operation and maintenance
Program manipulation
Better work ethics
How metal sizes are affected during machining and fabrication
Production ethics

N/A

Co-workers:
Very good. Hard working, smart, and willing to help

Hardest Part of The Job
Keeping sizes on par during very tight tolerances on hardened or non-ferrous materials (+/- .0025" sometimes)

Most Enjoyable:
Learning new techniques and skills to further develop my fabrication knowledge
Pros
benefits, job security, excellent co-workers
Cons
poor management (young, little experience), having to train new employees when not certified
