Some nice people, lots of weirdoes, worst management.
Armored guard (Current Employee), Winnipeg, MBAugust 12, 2014
Pros: if you have a seniority there is lots of overtime
Cons: low pay, unorganized, hiring dropouts, worst management, lay offs, hard to get full time...
Typical day at work is to come in, look at the schedule to make sure you're not late because it might have changed since you left the day before. Go and talk to supervisor about missing hours on pay check, go do your run without breaks if possible, finish your run, come back, talk to supervisor again about missing hours, look at the schedule because – more... it might had changed again, go home exhausted. Next day do it all over again. No room for advancement, even if you somehow get into management you will have to work 16 hour shifts for under $50,000. No communication between management and employees at all. Hardly any training provided, lack of discipline, not providing basic equipment.... – less

Worker (Former Employee), NSMay 19, 2014
Pros: decent pay
Cons: management only worry about themselves and their bonus
Busy, fast paced.Co-workers are great. Management sucks. They don't talk to each other. They expect you to work whenever they want, very little scheduled hours. The most enjoyable part of the job was leaving!!

Learned about security, safety and driving the armored vehicles. The most part of the job is the welcoming and professional work environment. Working shift work is the most difficult part of the job.

Diver/Messenger (Current Employee), Charlotte, NCAugust 14, 2014
Pros: free lunches, free tickets to events, discounts at some of the stores.
Cons: long hours with no breaks.
Early days with long hours. I have learned how to be more responsible with everything. Lack of good management and very little teamwork. The hardest part of my current job is the heavy work through out the day. The most enjoyable part of my job is that I get treated with respect by mostly all of my customers and that makes me feel really good and that – more... am doing a great job. – less

Cash Logistics Supervisor (Former Employee), Atlanta, GAAugust 11, 2014
Cons: benefits, no set schedule, no training, work sundays
NO LIFE...... POOR MANAGEMENT

Come in at a set time. Leave whenever work is done, but they play favorites so when they want you to leave.

They over work you. Never get raises. If so (may be up to 25 cents)

Not easy to move up in the company. They do NOT train you. You MUST learn on your own.

They only give you weapon training once.

Over worked – more... under paid.

Poor management. Adult day care.

This job if for single adults with no life. You can not have 2 jobs and work here.

NO 401K......

Work ALL HOLIDAYS. Only OFF Christmas day and Thanksgiving – less

Lacks leadership
Driver messenger (Former Employee), Flint miAugust 2, 2014
Pros: free cpl
Cons: pay, time off, bad management, company wastes money then takes it from the employees, inexperienced supervisors, no leadership, poor working environments
The equipment is older and prone to breakdowns, if you enjoy working in a metal can with no ac when it's over 90 degrees then this job is perfect. Management isn't concerned about problems until they become major problems by that time it's usually beyond something that can be fixed easily. They don't pay overtime after 45 hours and don't even think – more... about asking for time off. This job tends to attract younger "boys" that are nothing more than wanna be cops and guns are their biggest priority in life. In my opinion Brinks has handled their finances nation wide very poorly and now the employees are paying the price! – less

Productive and Exciting to know that I was shipping commodities around the world.
Export Operation Coordinator (Former Employee), Springfield, NYJuly 23, 2014
Pros: ability to receive armored gaurd license, carriers license, & security gaurd license
Cons: constant thought of handling high end commodities, monies and items that could temp robberies.
Normal days were compiled of receiving shipments from local companies, weighing and packaging items to airline and customs standards. Dealt very good with upper management and coworkers. Hardest part of the job was receiving last minute shipments late from companies with minimal time left to prepare and deliver to airport to make flights allowed to – more... ship items. Learned how to prepare shipments to travel across the world. – less
