Children’s Fetal Alcohol Service’s provides information, support and advocacy services to families impacted by FASD. The Clinic Coordinator/Consultant is responsible for support and consultation services for caregivers of children affected by FASD, as well FASD Neurodevelopmental Clinic Coordination duties.
The wage for this position is $21.00 per hour, plus 6% vacation pay. Anticipated starting date will be the first week of April.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated, possess strong communication and organization skills, and be able to work both independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. Applicants must have:
- A diploma or degree in a Human Services Field and related experience in the human service field. Post-secondary course work in Addictions Counselling is considered an asset;
- Knowledge of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder;
- A valid driver’s license and vehicle registration, daily use of an insured vehicle, and an acceptable driving record as verified by a Driver’s Abstract; and,
- An acceptable Criminal Records Check and Child Intervention Record Check.
An understanding of the diversity, customs and traditions of Aboriginal peoples and the diverse multi-cultural population of the Medicine Hat and surrounding areas is considered an asset.
