POSITION: REGULAR FULL-TIME OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE (RN OR RPN)

The Brant Community Healthcare System is looking for a dynamic individual that thrives in a fast paced environment. Reporting to the Value Stream Leader, People Development, the Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for supporting the Brant Community Healthcare System and external partnerships managing all aspects of Occupational Health needs. The Occupational Health Professional must have the capability to lead themselves, engage others, achieve results, develop coalitions and conduct systems transformation.
Serve as the focal point for all communications and co-ordination with Employees
Identify systemic barriers to return to work an assist departments to identify suitable transition work for ill/injured employees
Provide follow-up surveillance for communicable disease exposures
Administer vaccinations and TB tests
Provides training and respirator fit testing
Works in collaboration with the Occupational Health Physician, Disability Coordinator and Infection Control Specialist regarding occupational surveillance, treatment and with delegated acts.
Performs first aid
Registered Nurse (BScN or University Degree) or Registered Practical Nurse (College Diploma)
Certificate in Occupational Health Nursing
Minimum of 2 years experience in Occupational Health
