Energetic, supportive, and worthwhile agency.
Pros: flexible, growth, positive, friendly
Cons: long hours, overnights, high stress
Work at BGCC changed frequently and included: day-to-day administrative tasks, meal preparation, general cleaning, professional meetings, report writing, transportation, training sessions, curriculum development and emotional support. I learned about the importance of treating each client in an unbiased manner meeting them where they are at, not where I may personally foresee them being. The hardest part of the job was leaving your work at work as you become so invested in the work it became a challenge to dissociate. The best part of the job was seeing the positive impact made on clients who successfully transitioned out of the program.
