Being an oilfield field rental company you were at the mercy of the oil companies. Very difficult to plan the work for the day let alone try to get ahead for the week. Constantly short staffed and the staff that was available has very little experience which makes my job all the more challenging. While I enjoy coaching and mentoring people when a deadline has to be met, it takes a lot more time to get the job accomplished to company standards.
Teaching people and learning new ways of the industry
Not enough time in the day to get the work done even putting in long hours

Since the recent management change, the corporate culture has gone down the drain. The executives left in Calgary are poor leaders and care little about the staff. A very sad change to a what was formerly a strong support system., We lose good employees and managers because of terrible senior management.

I was told bos was taking workers immediately. Once I got on I'd be in a sit in job averaging 100-130, 000 a year. Not even close. Supervisers have no idea what's going on. No idea how to manage. Sit on thier buts till something goes wrong then reams the workers in front of everyone. Very unprofessional. Took almost 8 weeks to get hired so I missed out on 3 high paying jobs of 130, 000 a year or more waiting to get hired. For what? 50, 000 a year salary and a truck that you have to pay taxes on!!!! Worked 27 hours straight and 4 hours sleep did this for 3 days and put on 3700km just because the shop is so disorganized they sent broken machines and not all the parts.. If you need a hotel which isnt on thier list. You pay for it then wait a month to get 're reimbursed. Same with any expense that is job related. At least an hour's paperwork every Job.if you do drugs that's ok they just hide it. Or loose your license they let you drive anyways and put you on a sit in. Your told to lie about how many hours you work .no procedures that they preach are followed and no one cares unless you get hurt. Then it's your fault cause they told you not to do this or that. Absolutely no safety. Just preached to take the liability off them. Safety was falling behind which was managements responsibility seeing as the safety manager was given no authority. So she got fired without cause.because production rules over safety. This job is for bag lickers only. If you like to sleep in your truck. Do jobs that you weren't hired for. Enjoy being angry every day you work. Like tomore... be given the wrong directions to The work site and when you call the shop to ask where the rig is be told to find it . Then this job is for you. Labour board should be called on a regular basis. I've worked a lot a jobs. This by far. One of the worst. Management wise. Work is not hard until management is involved.less

The management acts like a 2 year old. He will talk behind your back to other employees. If you make a mistake he won't take the time to teach. Instead you are treated like trash. No sense going to head office they just cover for him. Have seen this happen to many people. You constantly have to watch your pay. When not in camp you get maybe 4hours of sleep between going to jobs( if your lucky) those usually are jobs you don't get paid for.
when in camp, so you only have to deal with the supervisor.

Bos starts out as a great place to work, then you slowly learn that the management team at Bos does not care about there employees at all. The Leduc Branch of this company lies to there employees to get them to do jobs. Then when it comes time for them to pay for the jobs they make up any excuse as to why you dont deserve the money. The MANAGEMENT TEAM AT BOS SOLUTIONS LEDUC BRANCH IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE AND I WOULD GO HUNGRY AND BE HOMELESS BEFORE EVER WORKING OR RECOMMENDING THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE ELSE
