No life, ok pay, no advancement
field engineer (Former Employee) –  OntarioJanuary 7, 2016
You will have no life. just work and seeing coworkers.

Pay is not as great as other GC's, just barely enough to keep people here for the money.

Prefer french people due to tie with pomerleau.
Pros
free truck, paid living expenses
Cons
17 days on 4 days off if your lucky. Mental and physical health will deteriorate.

Wind Turbine Technician (Former Employee) –  OntarioOctober 23, 2015
Decent Work, if you are willing to not have a life. Management acts more like high school kids then actual employers/ supervisors, treating friends better then other works even if they are on par with other workers/foreman. Strongly recommend to just be a labourer and just work on a crew. Stay away from direct contact with management
Pros
Living allowance
Cons
Long unpredictable hours and start times

Absolutely Ridiculous
Safety (Former Employee) –  OntarioAugust 25, 2015
Am very happy to be done! No time off, called back to work early from any time off. Very young inexperienced management team. Safety entirely a paper based culture. Completely unorganized organization. Very much a favoritism attitude. Workers work very hard and do a great job but there is never any positive reinforcement

Salary

Too many

Trencher Operator/Underground Collections (Former Employee) –  Pincher Creek, Alberta (Old Man 2 Damm)April 22, 2015
Even with weather conditions and a pretty inexperienced labor crew, we were still able achieve our goals in what I would say, "amazing time" with no injuries.
Pros
Lots of hours

Unorginized

Superinendent (Former Employee) –  Six packAugust 14, 2014
circus you say, you will likely be served with a notice of defamation by the circus people.

Like a bunch of unsupervised school girls in a mall!

They need to do something! And the wrong people are going - one way or the other. Pierre do you know where your money is going?
Pros
salary / benifits
Cons
cannot list them all

Foreman (Current Employee) –  The ZooAugust 14, 2014
I currently work for Borea but hopefully not for much longer. Safety is not even part of managements plan, every week there is a payment issue with someone in my crew. Safety & inspection documents have been constantly forged. Zero training is provided for new employees. Most of the Superintendents working on the six pack have only 1 or 2 projects experience if you are lucky. I don't understand how this company hasn't been nailed to the wall by MOL, it's only a matter of time I guess.
Pros
pay is ok
Cons
extremely inexperienced management on the wind projects
