A great place to work if you are passionate about airplanes. The opportunity to learn how airplanes and complex products are put together has been for my career. However, you may become frustrated by poor management practices.
Peers are passionate about their work.
Unstable work environment with recently lowered benefits. Management is weak and Montreal centric.

Managers have very old-fashioned thinking and do not understand I.T. They are not very flexible when it comes to opinions and do not recognize achievements. A very corrupt hierarchy and lots of politics involved. People are not promoted based on merit but rather seniority and personal preferences.
Check major KPI's (shortages, late deliveries, Receiving snags, invoices, inventories, etc.) and take action. Open planning tools and place PO's according to parts planning/purchasing parameters. Expedite vendors. Open Part Change tools, open blueprints of concerned parts and related specifications. Identify and select potential vendors. Send RFQ/RFP's to selected vendors. Expedite selected vendors, open bids/proposals. Liaise with concerned parties and select vendors. Nomenclature parts, send electronic files to chosen vendors, issue PO's to these vendors.
Mechanical Fitter (Former Employee) – Kingston, ON – 17 January 2017
good place to make money, but no organization makes for long days and weeks if you know any of the bosses your life is made and you will have job for a long time. Just make sure they like you doesn't matter if you work hard or save lots of man hours on projects.
SR Financial Analyst, Controlling (Current Employee) – Dorval, QC – 15 January 2017
Bombardier has a very fast paced, constantly changing work environment. Sometimes, it can feel like it's changing faster than the culture is ready for. There is no shortage of work to go around for employees able to autonomously lead and face challenges head on.
Methods engineer (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 10 January 2017
Bombardier is a disorganized company with a huge lack of leadership and management. Employees expend 75% of the day in meanginless meetings with no clarity on goals and objectives. The lack of strategical busniness vision is also present. Middle and high level managers do not even provide their team with the right support, guidance, and resources. I would never work in Bombardier again. Frustrating experience!
Project Management (Current Employee) – Toronto, ON – 10 December 2016
- Lots of disorganization. No clarity of job responsibilities - Executives are action oriented, they don't take time to assess solution options and to assess risk. They make spontaneous decisions with unrealistic deadlines or logic and stress all workers out! -No on-job training upon hiring - Very bad culture. Lots of finger pointing, screaming, rudeness - Lots of stress and pressure - Most people are demotivated - Advice: Think a lot before deciding to to work for Bombardier, especially Global 7000/8000 program since its development and is full of bad management practices.
good salary, good benefits
no training upon hiring, no clear responsibility, lots of process overlap between departments, lots of rudeness and unprofessional manners, negative culture
