Job Description:

- Ensure a safe working environment along with enforcing safety procedures
- Carrying out all tasks as assigned by the Zone Asset & Fleet Manager
- Manage shop schedule and repair of equipment to ensure timeliness in meeting equipment mobilization requirements
- Oversee safety meetings
- Inspect and plan equipment repairs, including cost estimates using Oracle eAM
- Oversee appropriate inventory levels for maintenance spares using Oracle Inventory
- Manage rig fleet to achieve maximum uptime/efficiency
- Consult with customers/suppliers, as appropriate
- Prepare equipment for deployment to the field
- Supervise rig commissioning and completion
- Coordinate mechanic schedules to ensure adequate coverage
- Arrange specific vehicle and equipment inspections
- Supervise the shop, yard, and field mechanic staff
- Ensure equipment meets DOT requirements prior to leaving shop
- Creation and implementation of preventive maintenance program


- 5+ years’ experience leading a high performance maintenance team
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems
- Strong focus on safety
- The ability to identify and solve the root causes of problems
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Ability to be resourceful, demonstrate business acumen, creative thinking skills and be able to act as a decision maker
- Prior use of, or willingness to be trained on Oracle
- Proficient use of MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
