Fun to deal with various customers, learn to do a lot of transactions, learn to count very fast
Customer Service Representative - Casual part time (Former Employee), Montréal, QCDecember 29, 2013
Pros: there was variety in the transactions we performed, every day we learned something new
Cons: standing on your feet all day, a lot of concentration involved when dealing with currency.
A typical day is take care of customer over the counter, work and have fun with other co-workers. Hardest part of the job was to balance every week which is difficult if you don't because you have to go back an entire week. Missing is sometimes missing but it is because we forget (in the busy days we encounter) to cross monies over to whom we give it – more... to. – less

TPA Service Representative III (Former Employee), Nesbitt, ONOctober 31, 2013
Typical day at work was a busy department, with a high work flow which I enjoy very much dealing with high volume and helping team members to resolve daily issues.
Learn to work close with team members, comminucation with internal and outside client, and more important get the job done in a daily basic.
Management give a great deal of support to team – more... in all areas.
For me nothing was hard as I was in the company for a long time and in time I learn to deal qith all situation with a positive pint of view.
The most important or enjoyable part for me was to work with the team, achieve or complete successfully our work and have an amazing leadership that help us do our job more easy and at the same time enjoy our time. – less

A good job that allowed me to use my skills and meet challenges every day
Retired formerly worked for BMO (Former Employee), Burlington, ONJuly 18, 2013
Pros: was a good job and good company to work for
Cons: had to work shifts in last few years which was difficult due to being a caregiver for parents.
Over the 42 years I started out working as a receptionist at BMO branch in Grimsby, ON. I also worked as a teller and customer service rep.
After 20 years in Grimsby, I moved to the Burlington Mortgage Centre where I processed transactions related to mortgages.
For the last 10 years I was a tax rep, processing manual tax bills for property tax payments, – more... servicing all of Canada except Quebec.
I keyed tax bills, balanced transactions for processing to municipalities for payment.
I also responded to customer service inquiries on-line, processing customer requests for maintaining tax accounts on a daily basis.

Management overall was great. Worked with some great managers.

I enjoyed working with my co-workers as a team member. We all worked together, helping each other out when our work was done in order to meet deadlines.

The hardest part of the job was to manage keying all tax payments in a timely, accurate and efficient manner in order to meet deadlines for payments due. On average I was able to key approximately 700-1000 bills per day, depending on how busy the phones were.

I enjoyed this job as it was a challenge every day and gave me a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. – less

Great Dynamics
Commercial Services Officer (Current Employee), Edmonton, ABMarch 4, 2013
Pros: team dynamics, we have fun
Cons: individuals that do not respect others
My typical day at work is supporting 2 commercial account managers. They are completely different like night and day. I have learned that you cannot control the uncontrollable. I love what I do for the most part. The best part of my job is that I get to help make a difference with the clients. I am the go to person for questions, concerns. As well I – more... look for ways to make their banking easier for them. The hardest part of my job is working with people that have no respect for others what so ever. – less

Customer contact
CSR (Current Employee), Edmonton, ABNovember 4, 2012
Pros: good benefits
Cons: fraud exposure
I work with the public everyday. I am expected to give exceptional customer service which includes identifying customer needs. When doing so,, I am required to refer these needs to an associate who specializes in mortages or savings, investments, accounts.
I respect my co-workers and I believe they respect me. I have shown that I am a good team member – more... and am able to motivate others.
The hardest part of my job is avoiding all the frauds that are there now.
I really DO enjoy the customers and am very good at remembering peoples faces and names. I know that smiling costs nothing but gives so much to people/ – less
