Bloer, The Woodlands, TX - 23 February 2017
I love the concept of a Blo dry/ wash and style only salon/bar. I love the clients and the atmosphere of Blo. The other employees are great also. In my honest opinion with it being a franchise and not corporate owned it is not as professionally run on the management end as I am use to. For example owners changed our payday 4 days before we were to receive our pay, and told us we would get paid Monday instead of Friday, with a corporation they would of given plenty of advanced notice as to be sure not to affect employees financially. Also they gave us 3 days notice of a mandatory meeting. I'm use to corporate making monthly or biweekly schedules that get signed in advance by all employees. 3 days notice is not sufficient time for me. A major concern to me is how some of the other employees have been treated when owners are not happy with them for something they have done, these employees or ex employees have been yelled at cursed at and huge scenes have been made in front of customers, I don't think it's professional at all to yell or curse at any person in a workplace environment. And a lot of other little things. The pay is fairly good, my opinion is it won't provide for a family, but as an additional Income it is great to have. Or if you are single it is a good income.
