This successful growing national firm requires a local Systems/Network Administrator to manage, administer and support the local business systems and infrastructure in their Burnaby offices. There will be some travel to Toronto as you will be participating in national infrastructure projects from time to time.
All aspects of managing, administering and supporting the local business systems and infrastructure.
The local infrastructure includes:
Microsoft Active Directory
Cisco Networking Devices
Cisco VoIP devices/solutions
A mixed server environment including: Windows, VMware and Linux based Webservers
Responsibilities also include:
Windows, Citrix and Mac clients
Tier 2 desktop support
Documentation: both system/network configuration and systems administration
SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
5 years’ Windows based Systems/Network administration & support experience
Must have experience administering and managing a comparable system and network infrastructure
Strong Microsoft systems experience including Active Directory and Exchange is required
Some Citrix experience is necessary
Network administration experience is essential
Good technical documentation skills are important
Must have very good English communication skills; both verbal and written
Any project planning and project management experience would be an asset
A computer science degree and any technical certifications would be an asset
Candidates must have Canadian Citizenship or Canadian Permanent
No relocation is available and only local residents will be considered at this time.
This is a full-time Contractor requirement 8-12 months.
