Working in BLACKBERRY’s Strategic Alliances Team as a Strategic Alliances Project Manager, the successful candidate will assist a team focused on engaging with third parties to fulfill internal technology development needs through licensing, investment, joint venture creation, alliances or acquisition. The successful candidate will oversee high profile integration projects, while negotiating deliverables and commitments with executive-level and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities will be diverse and will include communication with external partners and service providers, completing due diligence activities, managing critical deal-closing documents and working with BlackBerry teams to determine technical and operational integration strategies.

The Project Manager will assist with managing the team’s portfolio of projects with the expectation that the successful candidate be able to manage working on multiple projects and initiatives concurrently. Necessary skills include initiating new opportunities, coordinating and leading project meetings, anticipating and tracking issues and producing status reports and improving existing process. The ideal candidate must be able to facilitate communications with various departments and groups across the organization, as well as with external business partners, while building relationships and managing conflict resolution as required.


  • Engineering/Computer Science/Business Bachelor’s Degree/MBA
  • 3-5 years of Project Management or Project Leadership experience
  • Proven superior communication, presentation, critical thinking skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to develop opinions and articulate them clearly
  • Experience collaborating with a team and building relationships
  • Curious attitude and self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
