We are currently recruiting for 2 production operator positions to work the night shift within our Heat Treat department in our Edmonton, Alberta manufacturing facility.
Heat Treat Department Description
Using walking beam furnaces and batch ovens to quench and temper finished product. Secondary process involves straightening, painting and labeling of customer specific products.

To be successful in this role, employees must be prepared to know or be willing to learn how to:
o Read a tape measure
o Read and interpret blue prints
o Pay attention to detail
o Work efficiently and effectively in a team setting and a physically demanding work environment
Experience that would be considered an asset would include:
o Exposure to a production facility
o Operation of forklifts and overhead cranes
o Understanding of blueprints, geometric tolerances and metallurgy
o Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement
Black Cat currently runs its operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our operation works on compressed work week whereby we work longer hours in a day to work less days in a week.
