The Store Manager is accountable to deliver overall business results for the store including financial, operational and customer service and team objectives. This role provides overall leadership , training and development to team members in the store by acting as a role model. The Store Manager will deliver outstanding customer experience by ensuring all presentation and customer service standards are consistently in place. The Store Manager, supported by the Regional Director, is accountable to ensure all activities in the store are conducted in a way that is consistent with TELUS and Black’s policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Build high-performing teams through the effective recruitment, orientation, training, development and coaching of all Team Members in the store
Act as a role model by demonstrating proficiency in sales, customer service, product knowledge and overall store operations
Provide appropriate training for all Team Members in the store, as needed
Seek to have detailed knowledge of the competitive landscape and ability to adapt to changes in the market
Develop and implement marketing or community involvement initiatives to grow revenue and expand awareness of Black’s products and services
Ensure in-store presentation standards are maintained, including housekeeping and maintenance, merchandise in-stock and presentation, signing, maintenance of stock areas and washrooms
Achieve sales and wireless targets by leading and motivating Team Members to perform at their best, and acting as a mentor to support their overall development
Create business plans for underperforming categories
Demonstrate leadership by providing positive and effective resolution to Customer and Team Members concerns
Provide communication and best advice to peers, Regional Director and other Black’s Team Members as needed to improve overall business results
Ensure protection of company assets and resources by following policies, processes and procedures established including Health and Safety
Required Skills and Abilities
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Strong wireless and technical skills (computer and phone)

Excellent time management skills
Required Experience and Education:
High school education required
Previous retail and/or supervisory experience is an asset
Enthusiasm for wireless, photography and related products are required
