If you ever want to know what it feels like to be ignored, come here!
Former Employee (Dispatcher) (Former Employee) –  London, ON15 February 2018
If you are looking for call center experience, you have to start somewhere... That said, get it, and run! It's a job for dispatching emergency roadside assistance throughout North America. A typical day of work is fairly easy, I got good at it; albeit through trial and error. (Thrown to the wolves if you will.) If you had a call however that even the best agent would take them quite the length to dispatch come in at the last minute of your shift, you had to finish it. The program they use would also freeze sometimes whilst logging out thus placing you on another call you were forced to finish. So that 8 hour shift you had, is now a 10 hour shift. You got kids at home? School work to do? A LIFE! Forget about it!

I think this company has some serious revamping to do, there's a reason their score on here is so low, and their retention rate; mind you only speculation cannot be very good. There's no consideration for schedule, you had Saturday off? We changed the schedule two days ago, you work Saturday now. If you want to sustain employees and build a healthy work environment you have to do a complete overhaul of your processes. They take on new contracts with different companies whilst their workers are dropping off consistently because they're not adequately trained and completely overwhelmed. If you want employees to show empathy and care about their customers and their job, you must return the favor.

Now on a positive note, the people there for the most part (aside from the upper management of whom completely lack in the empathy department.) are great. Then again, I'm
more... sure suffering with friends is better than suffering alone. That would be the most enjoyable part, exchanging your stories of misery and agony with hindsight laughing.  less
Pros
I learned a lot of the capitals and cities in certain states
Cons
Lack of empathy for employees

Process Associate (Current Employee) –  London, ON13 February 2018
Cannot say much for Full time, but my Part-time experience has been great, except for the upset customers - which I understand. Floor support, WFM, HR... everyone were warm towards me and treated me with respect.

Not worth your time
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  London5 January 2018
Want a throwback to highschool? Apply here. Workers are immature no matter their age. They gossip and spread false rumors. If your a good worker they feel threatened and make up anything to ruin your reputation. Most of management (anyone that doesn't work on the floor) works like a clique and talk down to floor staff. If you want to move up you have to kiss a**

trust me when i say this, if you're willing to advance and want to become apart of a team. do not apply here, they are not fair and do not give out fair opportunities to people who deserve them. no matter how hard you work or apply yourself, it's just not good enough to them.

Favortism, No Opportinities for Advancement
ERS Customer Service (Current Employee) –  London, ON6 November 2017
At the London location they have several different contracts including emergency roadside for the US and Canada, and credit card sales. The actual job is not difficult but can be a little stressful depending on which contract you are on. One week of training with 2 days of "nesting" with another agent and then you are on the phone. Support from coaches very wildly you will quickly find out who is best to ask for help from. There is very little opportunity for advancement, at most "Peer Coach" which is a lot more responsibility with little pay increase and guaranteed to never have weekends off.

When you are hired at Bill Gosling you are told it is part time 25 -30 hours a week leading to full time and they will work with your availability for your schedule. So not true.

1) You will be working full time with no benefits. 35 hours a week (8 hour shifts two, 15 min breaks, 30 min lunch). Very few people are actually hired full time and benefits are very weak even if do. Their "policy" is to schedule everyone for full time hours and then offer "vto" voluntary time off if they are not busy. Depending on the contract you are working and your schedule this can happen a lot or never.

2) They will not be accommodating for your schedule. You may get a nice schedule right out training but that will change 2-4 weeks after. Expect to work weekends and possible split days off. Picking up extra hours is no problem but trying to switch or give away shifts are your responsibility and its not easy to find someone who wants extra hours or switch a shift.

The payroll department
more... is awful, always check your pay stub as there are frequent errors, especially if you pick up extra hours.

The operations department is frustrating to talk to, and hard to work with. Trying to book time off is confusing and days off are sometimes not approved until the week before. Work schedule is posted a week in advance but can change at anytime up to and including on your days off. There are no shift bids, it is assigned by operations. Trying to get a shift that works with your outside life is difficult, they do accommodate students to some degree but otherwise expect a lot of "we will see what we can do" with not a lot getting done.

Lots of frills, but no substance
Collections Agent (Former Employee) –  Newmarket, ON16 October 2017
The upper management existed to keep you only content enough that you would not quit immediately. There was little room for advancement even if you worked extremely hard. I routinely worked sixty hour weeks, but was met with closed doors rather than any true advancement.

There were plenty of highlights working there. They have a nice gym, for example, but their healthcare plan, which is fickle, didn't become active until six months had passed and they didn't give out raises.

Overall, it was not a pleasant place to work.
Pros
The co-workers. Lots of overtime.
Cons
Bad management, no room for advancement.

Typical work day is spent on the phones leaving messages for customer and taking inbound calls. Not all customers want to work with you and some can be rather rude.

Expectations from management is high as they want to bring all clients current quickly. They expect high volume of outbound phone calls.

Horrible company. They don't care about the welfare of their employees. You are basically a number.
Floor Support Coach/Supervisor (Former Employee) –  London, ON14 July 2017
BGO formerly alliancei communication was naught out by a conglomerate allied global. The company went down hill after this occurred. The CEO and CFO are overly concerned with budget and cutting agents hours meanwhile they take in a quarter mill in salary a year.
Pros
Other employees are great to work with and be around.
Cons
The company is horrible

Call Agent (Current Employee) –  London, ON19 June 2017
It is always good to have a 9-5 job but this one is terrible. management is down your throat on everything and they fire you at 6 months for no reason at all, They also say you get great incentives but only one campaign does and the rest gets $2 while the one group gets $15.

With most jobs you get benefits after 3 months here you get nothing till 6 months and if you already have benefits with someone else you still have to pay all of your benefits.
Pros
9-5 monday to friday on SOME programs
Cons
Everything else about the job
