Cosmetician and Sales Clerk (Former Employee), Montréal, QC –
Pros: free phone lines
you get to experience managing a store and making well-thought of decisions and learn so many new things especially with gadgets. being in front of the customers has its goods and bad. some customers are too aggressive when they cant get what they want but at the same time it will teach you patience and value for your clients. most enjoyable part of – more...  the job are the perks that come with it. the gadgets that they give you. gifts from the companies and you make a lot of new friends. – less

Bell Canda
Gestion de projets (direction) (Former Employee), Montréal, QC –
Pros: excellent salaire, avantages sociaux, vacances

great job to advance within various sectors of Bell
Residential Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Hamilton, ON –
Pros: annual raises, union, and lot of site events for the employees
Cons: adherance factor
A typical day at work was very busy with new business, existing customers within ontario and quebec customers that only want to speak with english representatives. I have learned to be versatile and multi task and prioritze quickly. Co-workers and management were always there to assist and promote employees with positive attitudes. The hardest party – more...  of the job was ensuring that you were always logging onto your computer and phone, not a minute too early or late. The most enjoyable part of the job is dealing with various customers and problem solving...no two customers were ever alike. – less

Need for Compassion values from managers
Client Services Representative (Former Employee), Toronto, ON –
Pros: overtime perks
Cons: lack of trained management
I have workd for this company and was laid off in December 2011.

Why would a company give people their work complete notice a 2 weeks before christmas.

For future hires, it managers should take a course in how to have better skills working with bell employees.

Thanks,

Stella

Great company to work for I learned a lot about myself, people and business. Made some great life long friends. Employee Value Index surveys were conducted yearly the only negative employee concerns never changed. Some location not equipped for employee work life balance.

It wasn't all that bad
NETWORK TECHNICIAN (Former Employee), Simcoe St., Toronto –
Pros: the salary
Cons: long hours
The typical day started with work and ended with work. I learned quite a bit about the job. The management wasn't that great. My co-workers were ok. The hardest part of the job was talking to several people at the same time and the most enjoyable part of the job was when a chronic problem was resolved.

Coach&formateur-Service clientèle-Marché affaires (Former Employee), montreal –
Pros: everyday learned something new
Cons: lots of overtime
I grew up here, I enjoyed working in telecommunications and enjoyed the everyday challenges it gave me. I enteracted with people everyday needing my support or help in completing some of their orders to process with their clients.

Sometimes I was not able to give the answer they needed right away, that was hard, because we had deadlines, but I always – more...  came back with a solution and later the answer they needed not to penalize the client or the employee. That gave me satisfaction knowing they both came out with what they wanted and needed. – less

A Great Stepping Stone
Network Analyst (Current Employee), Vancouver, BC –
Pros: yearly education allowance
Cons: centralized in central canada (montreal).
Bell, like many other telecommunications company in Canada offer great "stepping stone" positions. The ability to continue schooling while going to Bell, through the different career development programs available is a huge bonus as well.

For someone starting out in telecom and wanting to see what the business is all about, Bell would be a good choice.

When I joined Bell Sympatico the company as a start up internet company with only 5 people and grow to be one of the leader's in internet business today.
