Bell requires the services of a Quality Assurance Analyst.

Create, develop, deliver, and maintain QA testing strategy and requirements and specifications -based, comprehensive test plans for: New Service Introductions; New and Maintenance Releases of Applications for existing services; and, needed test coverage for Change Initiations and Implementations that can include corrective content (both emergency and planned), infrastructure changes, component upgrades and replacement, service extensions and/or expansions, and technology refresh.
Develop, validate, and manage test cases and test scripts.
Exercise necessary controls over testbeds, access, test facilities, and tools and testing support systems.
Execute quality control (manual and automated) tests at the systems level, ranging over sanity, full functional coverage, integration, regression, and scalability & performance.
Conduct testing in compliance with established procedures.
Document discovered problems; perform analysis to assist with determination of a defect or bug; inter-work as required with internal functions on the communication and analysis efforts; and, perform re-test of solved and fixed problems.
Capture test outcomes, document test plan results; and, issue summary test reports.
Report status & progress of testing activity including regular review of problems and bugs / defects; escalate issues or situations affecting quality, progress, or schedule.
Participate in UAT (User and Acceptance Testing) with Customers.
Validation of Service Descriptions, Build Books, and Release Notes.
Lead multi-function, multi-discipline virtual teams assembled as workgroups through the conduct of test execution campaigns with defined purpose and objectives.
Coach team members and others on test & verification strategy, methods, processes, tools and support systems.
Produce and maintain quality test documentation.
Automate test suites where feasible, practical, and cost-effective, utilizing available tools and technology.
Provide estimates and assessments to both Release Management and Project Management activities of planning, scheduling, and tracking.
Provide input and recommendations with respect to risk analysis and release go / no go decision-making.
Ensure commitments to external or internal customers are met in a timely manner.
Participate in setting standards, reviewing methodologies, and evaluating and improving processes for testing and verification.
Solicit feedback in order to improve work products, testing services, test coverage, and effectiveness of testing.
Provide expertise cross-functionally.
Develop integrated strategies for improving client satisfaction. .
Seek out new avenues for building and maintaining cross-functional relationships.
Your qualifications/ competencies are:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering with major in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications, or equivalent.
Relevant work experience 7-10 years in the IT field, with a progression of positions that demonstrate advancement in the associated technology domains.
§ 5 plus years of experience in a similar (test & verification) role, plus experience with server systems administration, networking systems administration, systems integration, and/or software design & development or verification
Knowledge of servers and data network
Experience with the deployment of server & networking element platforms, and service infrastructure; and, the installation & configuration of COTS and Applications softwares
Very good knowledge of UNIX, particularly Solaris, AIX, or Linux
Familiarity with Firewalls, Gateways, Routers
Some knowledge of Web Servers: Apache, iPlanet
Some knowledge of, and significant experience with, IBM WebSphere (release 6.1) Applications Server
Good knowledge, coupled wit some experience with one, or preferably both, of:
CA SiteMinder product – Policy Server and Web Agents (release 12)
Entrust PKI systems, applications, and software; SafeNet HSM; Microsoft PKI); and, PKI Operational Policies, Practices, and Procedures; Certificate Specifications
Knowledge of, and experience with, LDAP directory products
Familiarity with SQL and Oracle Database
Exposure and experience with a structured Systems / Services Life-Cycle Development process
Exposure to a variety of test methodologies, and knowledge of a core of QA best practices.
Some previous experience troubleshooting security solutions including authentication, authorization, encryption and audit capabilities as part of an overall system design.
Demonstrated capabilities in deriving testing strategies, determining required test coverage, and developing test plans based on requirements and (architectural, functional, and design) specifications.
Familiarity and some capability and competence with common and industry-standard test execution and test management tools and support systems.
Must possess and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance at Level II (Secret) or above.
Ability to work either/both independently or/and as an effective team member; appropriately exercising time management and flexibility to effectively prioritize and ensure completion of work; and, ability to change priorities as the need arises and to work overtime as required by the demands of the position.

Assets for this position are:
Knowledge and competence in UNIX shell scripting, and tool control languages.
Previous significant experience with load test tools: LoadRunner, or Web Performance Load Tester.
Knowledge of the ISO 27000 series of information security standards and controls.
