Pros: fantastic pay never ending overtime
Cons: construction project they all end and i get to look for a new job
I was brought on as a finisher. I worked my way up to foreman. I also was a safety rep. When brought on over 400 finishers were there. When the project was finished and I was laid off there were 7 left. I am very proud of that

Pros: pay
Cons: bad location. not enough english speaking, treat you like high school kids. keep thumbs on employees
tough rules but fair once you know them.they do not tell you. they watch you like a hawk, lunch hours will stand in lobby to see when you leave. They tend to treat people from other countries better then americans.work has quotas but I found them reasonable not like fluor. bosses seem to be a better caliber then most engineering Co.I DO NOT WANT TO – more... Typical Bait and Switch Construction - Unqualified Management
Helper (Current Employee), LouisianaJune 16, 2014
Pros: none - well, it's a paycheck
Cons: poor management, lack of communication, no supplies, constant fear of losing my job
This is your typical "bait and switch" construction company....which more and more of them have become. People in management positions have never touched the actual craft, yet are expected to be general foremen, and, worse, superintendents. Most of them have to have their hands held by more seasoned, lower paid personnel in order for them to get through – more... the day. Job hours are all over the map. No consistency, no supplies or materials. If you need a harness, you have to go steal someone else's. Tool rooms are poorly stocked. If you're desperate for work, have at it. If you're not, wait it out if you can. These people bid this job to go on for 5-6 years and they intend to milk it out for all it's worth. Oh, and conflicting superior orders? Nearly got my butt fired for doing as one superior told me and then another one came along and told me I wasn't allowed to do that. TOTAL LACK OF COMMUNICATION OR DIRECTION. – less

Cons: my foremen didnt have a clue
A good place to work.but if you have to go get surgery.you will be let go asap.and then they tell you they will call you back.and the people you trained are back before you.that's wrong.and if you are not family.then you can give it up

Travel Coordinator/Administrative Assistant (Former Employee), Houston, TXJune 7, 2014
Functional management has their favorites and if those favorites don't like you, then management makes it increasingly difficult to do your job properly.
It's very stressful and doesn't have any semblance of a team environment.

Cons: long travel times, and management
Typical day at work, pre start meeting, assignments given.

Management seemed to make it up as they went along.
Most co-workers were good, although very little interaction after work
