Position: Sales & Operations Planner
Location: 1521-34th Avenue SE, Calgary, T2G 1V9

Summary:

  • The Sales & Operations Planner will be responsible for Demand Planning and Analysis, Wholesale Inventory, Data and Procurement Management for Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba Liquor Boards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demand Planning and Analysis

oFacilitate the Sales and Operation planning process and manage demand throughout the Beam Global Canada business with input from key Functional stakeholders.
oAnalyze demand patterns, inbound deliveries and inventory positions and make recommendations on required procurement numbers to maintain the required level of safety and cycle stock for Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan Liquor Boards.
oMaintain the forecast generated with input for new SKU’s, referencing to superseded SKUs, actual sales and optimal algorithm selection, and regeneration of the monthly forecast.
oAssist in the development and application of BW reports that provide stakeholders with the data to manage demand for products inside the procurement lead-time and manage supply outside of lead-time.
oAnalyze and report on various measurements that are critical to inventory and demand management and initiate continuous improvement programs.
oDevelop the monthly, weekly procurement plans for Alberta using MRP (Material Requirement Planning) process in SAP.

  • Inventory and Data Management

oCollaboratively engage the Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan Liquor Boards on purchase order tracking, product availability and inventory levels.
oDevelop and maintain strategic relationship with buyers and Purchasing managers at SK and MB Liquor Boards for replenishment and product availability.
oManage MM (Material Management) process in SAP for existing and New SKUs’ listings.
oManage MRP view in SAP for all existing and new SKUs
oReporting out of stocks, risks and opportunities to the key stakeholders in the business
oProvide weekly/semi monthly reporting on inventory for Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan
Liquor Boards.
oCoordinate and engage Sales and Marketing managers to effectively manage LTOs and slow moving SKUs.
oConsistent review of inventory holding cost reduction at 3rd party warehouse.
oMonitor EDI transactions processed by CW.
oCoordinate Supply Chain input to, and accuracy of, new SAP SKU code forms for SKU Master. Also rationalising SKU details throughout Canada.
oSystem maintenance of Product Classification and service levels according to agreed business objectives.
oMonitor forecast accuracy and consolidate the root cause analysis from Sales regarding forecast inaccuracy, and summarise into meaningful key learning.

Qualifications:
oPost-Secondary education in business or math discipline.
oMinimum 3 years experience in a related role within Logistics, Operations or Manufacturing environment
oAdvanced Excel skills
oStrong knowledge of demand planning
oSAP knowledge is preferable in MRP and MM.
oAnalytical / attention to detail
oEnergetic / self-starter
oDependable and responsible
