Position: Sales Merchandiser-Part Time
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Reporting To: Sales Rep / Field Sales Manager

Summary:
Reporting to the Sales Representative/Field Sales Manager, the Part Time Sales Merchandiser will be responsible for effectively setting up merchandising shelves and floor displays in order to maximize merchandising and sales opportunities as well as managing stock levels and ensuring appropriate inventory is available or redistributed as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Illustrate effective use of Sales Principles of floor display merchandising
  • Select the right types, sizes and quantity
  • Arrange to sell and locate high traffic areas
  • Ensure every item is correctly priced
  • Show customers a reason to buy
  • Make effective use of shelf merchandising including P.O.S., appropriate price points, cleanliness, stock outs, and stock rotation
  • Maintain tracking of weekly visits to accounts and provide weekly feedback to sales manager
  • Minimum of 8 calls per day – depending on work load
  • Warehouse duties include: inventory maintenance and management,
  • Shipping /Receiving duties, space management, product retrieval, maintaining clean and organized merchandise and stock.
  • Ability to lift product up to 15-20 lbs occasionally as required

Key Relationships:

  • Internal: Sales Representatives, Field Sales Manager, Marketing Coordinators
  • External: Liquor store staff, general public, warehouse staff (if applicable)

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma
  • Previous retail sales or merchandising experience preferred
