Position: Business Analyst
Location: Toronto-Liberty Village

Reporting to the Business Planning & Analysis Manager, the Business Analyst will be responsible for managing the timely and accurate close of month end, responsible for the administration, coordination, and communication of Provincial and National pricing changes, responsible for the integrity of SAP A&P budgets and reporting and actively participating in the annual plan and latest estimate processes through providing analysis, guidance, and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of Month End Close:

oOversee month end management reporting closing process, including: communication of required deliverables and timelines to the Canadian business; providing guidance on the Purchase Order process, and managing the Trade Promotion system and process
oPrepare and upload required journal entries to accurately report monthly A&P spend
oMaintain and manage the monthly reconciliation of applicable GL accounts
oCoordinate with Global Shared Services to ensure the timely and accurate calculation and posting of sales commissions and 3rd Party A&P rebilling

  • National Pricing Administration & Coordination

oCalculate and evaluate the impact of price changes on the Provincial and National P&L and provide insights and direction that support sound business decisions
oAct as the primary contact for all pricing inquiries from Billing and Customer Service
oProvide timely price change updates and applicable summaries to the company’s 3rd Party partners for their respective brands
oManage the maintenance and compilation of the National pricing template, providing guidance for the update of Provincial pricing, and supporting the National revenue maximization objective

  • Systems and Industry Relationship Management

oManage the relationship with the 3rd Party depletion reporting provider, including identifying and liaising on the correction of data accuracy issues
oAct as the primary contact for all interactions with the Association of Canadian Distillers, including confirming the availability of and accessing monthly liquor board data, completing the annual membership fee assessment forms, and ad hoc requests

oUniversity degree with a focus in Business or Finance required
oHolds or is actively working towards a professional accounting designation (CGA, CA, CMA)
oSAP systems experience preferred
oAdvanced Excel skills
oMinimum of 2 years of financial analysis or related experience with a particular focus on financial accounting and reporting
