Good company to work for
Home Support Worker (Current Employee) –  Sarnia, ON15 October 2017
This is a good company to work for, and the more availability you have the more hours you attain. If you enjoy a fast paced environment where you get the opportunity to meet new people and build quick reliable relationships, this is a great place to do that in.
Pros
Meeting a lot of great people

Registered Practical Nurse (Current Employee) –  Oakville, ON7 October 2017
The job hours are variable and securing shifts can be difficult at times as hours are not guaranteed. You encounter clients with more chronic illnesses and all different ages. Minimal use of nursing skills. Overall, it can be an enjoyable job not matter how experienced and if you like routine work.
Pros
Independent work
Cons
Difficulty securing shifts, variable hours

Human Resources Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Hamilton, ON15 September 2017
A typical day at work is usually doing recruitment and helping the field staff with their HR needs.

I learned more on health and safety procedures.

Management is not all competent but mostly are capable.

The workplace culture is diverse which is great.

The hardest part of the job is recruiting the best person for the job.

The most enjoyable part of the job is being able to help more than 460 field staff.
Pros
Nice people
Cons
Some managers are not competent.

If you want to utilize your nursing skills, THIS IS THE PLACE
Clinical Manager (Current Employee) –  Timmins, ON12 September 2017
I utilize every skill all the time. Limitless opportunity for learning. Work/life balance is sometimes poor because when patients need you, you work. I have a tendency to put patients/work before everything else. Some days are excruciatingly busy. Can be difficult to reach MD's when needed...sometimes feels like I'm the only one who cares about the patient and is advocating.
Have autonomy to self schedule. VERY autonomous nursing practice...nurse MUST have EXCELLENT critical thinking skills and be confident in own abilities.
Pros
Learning opportunities are there if you take initiative.
Cons
Feels like you're always working

Admin Assistant (Former Employee) –  Mississauga, ON8 September 2017
I don't have anything good to say about this company or the people within it. Upper management get away with anything and HR doesn't stand up for you either when push comes to shove. You are disposable. People talk behind your back and you are not treated with respect. Evil people.
Pros
Free coffee
Cons
Toxic work environment

Community care is always interesting. The only down fall working in a community setting are clients not being available at their scheduled times for care and not communicating to the office.
Pros
flexibility
Cons
wages and compensation

Do not work here ever
Employee (Former Employee) –  Sarnia, ON7 September 2017
This place is HIGHLY stressful, low wages, very bad management. Management plays favorites, definitely do not like people who question the fairness of treatment of employees and clients. Loads the work of three people onto one while other staff go for extra long breaks or sit in managers offices and kiss a**. CSC's let client calls/problems wait or put off to another CSC and they complain about clients and client's families that are hands on and question their loved one's care. Management openly talk about and share employees problems when they are not present, especially fieldstaff. Lots of gossiping. Like highschool girls. Many longtime employees are miserable but are the type to love being miserable. Very negative work environment. Managements' bottom line is about making money and not giving the best possible care.
Pros
Not one
Cons
Bad management, highly stressful job, poor pay

Highly recommend this company
Personal Support Worker (Former Employee) –  Renfrew, ON7 September 2017
Staff and management are very supportive and caring about both their staff and clients.
I learned a lot about the job and myself thru my time with this company.
I would highly recommend this company to any PSW's, RPN's, or RN's who would like to work out in the community instead of in the fast-paced environments of hospitals and long-term care facilities.
Pros
Get to spend more time with clients.
Cons
Lots of driving and vehicle wear and tear.

Patient Attendant (Former Employee) –  Halifax, NS6 September 2017
Hours are long but its a really nice job. Its a 12 hour shift so be ready for that. The most challenging part is getting patients that don't listen but once they are comfortable, you would enjoy your shift
