Good place to come into work, everyone has a positive attitude
SALES ASSOCIATE (Current Employee), San Jose, CA – February 15, 2014
A typical day at work is talking and having laughs but also making sure the store is cleaned and every customer is being helped and having a good experience at the store. The things that I learned was how to sell. How to be persuasive and speaking the right words to get customers to buy more and converting them as well. I also learned how to read planograms – more... and set tables and boards in a way that where it will catch the customer's attention with colors and format. – less
Greeter of the store to advertise new quality merchandise and engaged with multiple customers at once.
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Heath, OH – February 14, 2014
I organized products on display making them presentable for customers. If customers needed help i guided them in the right direction. I learned when to start and end conversations with buyers while helping them in the most efficient way. I learned what to ask and how to ask questions to further assist people.
The culture was very calm and enjoyable. – more... The managers and employees are polite and respectful to everyone. The hardest part of the job was standing on my feet for long hours. The best part of the job was introducing new products to a group of customers. – less
Very interactive job that allows you to build customer service skills.
Temporary Holiday Sales Associate (Former Employee), Russellville, AR – February 11, 2014
Pros: free samples, got to test new products, 30% discount
Cons: having to physically touch customers to give bbw's "signiture" hand massage, not getting a lot of hours
A typical day would include making sure every product is fully stocked and the great and help every customer that enters the store. We inform them of any special deals that are currently going on and what new products we offer.
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Rochester, NY – February 10, 2014
Pros: just about everything
The best part about working at Bath and Body Works is that it's a very fun place to work. The customers are always great, as are the employees. Although the scheduling isn't always the best (along with the pay), it's worth it. The team meetings are always fun and educational (new products!!!). I also always enjoyed doing the floorsets and bringing out – more... the new products for the season. – less

Associate (Former Employee), Chandler, Arizona – February 9, 2014
They have a really good training program. I did a lot of restocking, worked on shipment prepossessing, worked on floor sets (putting out new products), worked on the registers. Before I stopped doing regular sifts, I was the cash wrap lead and trained new employees on the registers. I enjoined most of my former co-workers and still keep in contact with – more... some of them. We had some management issues at the location that I was at, but after a few months we were fine. The manager was like a mom to all of all of us and really cared about us. – less
I started off as a sales associate, and worked my way up to a sales leader where I help associates with goals, and to love what they do.
Sales Associate/Leader (Former Employee), San Jose, CA – February 8, 2014
Pros: meeting new people
Cons: no cons, i loved my job, i just want new opportunities to better myself.
I loved coming into work each and every day, I just want to be able to gain different experiences to better myself. I have learned to be able to define the improvements of the associates and to clarify which associate belongs to the right task. I was able to set goals to the associates, so that they were engaged with the customers. The hardest part – more... about working at Bath and Body works was to help associates love the job as much as I did, because at times I felt that they did not care to be apart of an important team. Teamwork is the most important asset to a company because working together keeps a steady relationship with customers, and customers are aware if you love what you are doing. The most important part of my job was to build loyal customers, because once the customers trust the workers they are more likely to keep coming back. I am a very hard worker, and I would love to seek in new opportunities. – less
cashier (Former Employee), San Antonio, TX – February 7, 2014
Pros: fun and friendly environment, always ready to work and be helpful when needed.
Cons: nothing it was fun :)
A typical day at work for Bath and Body Works would be assisting the customer's on what product they would be interested in, let them know the promotions and sales. As one of the cashiers, I'd have to scan the customer's products as well as providing outstanding customer service, at the same time, I'd be bagging their products, and accepting the payment – more... method they chose to use. The co-workers there were definitely friendly and the over all experience with Bath and Body works is outstanding! I loved working there! The hardest part would definitely be the stocking of shipment processing. Even though that was a part of my job, I was stocking and stacking a lot of different sizes and weights of boxes. It was tiring, but I never complained :) – less
Seasonal Sales Associate (Former Employee), Martinsville, VA – February 6, 2014
Well, I was hired as a seasonal employee and was treated as one by many of the "permanent" employees. The manager and assistant manager were easy to work with. If I could had more hours and promised a position I would have stayed with them.
Cashier/ Customer Service (Current Employee), Lenox Mall – February 6, 2014
Pros: high traffic store - i loved staying busy
Cons: temp/on call employee
People are very interesting! I enjoyed interacting with customer to understand their needs when they enter the store. My goal was to help the customer get what they needed and save them time by being knowledgeable of products.
Management and co-workers operated as a team/family. Accomplishments were recognized and rewarded.
Assisting customers (Former Employee), Monroe, La – February 6, 2014
I wouldn't trade my years of working at BBW for anything. I am now best friends with a majority of my co-workers and I learned so much. Retail is so much more work than what you would think, and this company really cares for its associates.
