Customer Sales Lead (Former Employee), Hutchinson, MN – February 20, 2014
I loved all 3 of my positions that I have held at Bath & Body. I love the company and I have loved working with the people that I have had the pleasure of working with.
No full time associates were eligible for benefits and you could not be full time unless you were a store manager.
As a manager, I could open or close the store, or possibly work during – more... the day. I would help customers, use the register, stock freight, count the drawer (if closing), manage up to 5 associates at a time.
Hardest part, was probably are busy times of the year, either during holidays or our huge sales twice a year. Being overwhelmed with a lot of customers, trying to get everyone checked out, correctly in a timely manner.
Most enjoyable, would have definitely been the people that I got to work with from both locations in Minnesota and Colorado. – less
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Monroe, LA – February 18, 2014
Cons: barely work
I was seasonal help. Wasn't put onto the schedule for a month. First week I worked was the week of Thanksgiving and had no training. Called and went in and told I was able to come to work but they never would work me.
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Brea, CA – February 16, 2014
Pros: discounts and kind customers.
Cons: managers, lack of hours, no flexibility.
I'd come in to work and be placed in one of the three rooms in the store. I'd have to engage with customers, recommend products, and help with any questions or concerns. Also if i was in a closing shift, i would have to organize shelves and products and take out the trash. The best part of the job, was the amazing customers. The worst part, was all – more... but one manager. The managers were inconsiderate and arrogant; they always acted like the sales associates weren't important and worthless. Also, i would be scheduled for a shift and the manager would just cut my shift short or in half and send me home just because. – less
Good place to come into work, everyone has a positive attitude
SALES ASSOCIATE (Current Employee), San Jose, CA – February 15, 2014
A typical day at work is talking and having laughs but also making sure the store is cleaned and every customer is being helped and having a good experience at the store. The things that I learned was how to sell. How to be persuasive and speaking the right words to get customers to buy more and converting them as well. I also learned how to read planograms – more... and set tables and boards in a way that where it will catch the customer's attention with colors and format. – less
Greeter of the store to advertise new quality merchandise and engaged with multiple customers at once.
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Heath, OH – February 14, 2014
I organized products on display making them presentable for customers. If customers needed help i guided them in the right direction. I learned when to start and end conversations with buyers while helping them in the most efficient way. I learned what to ask and how to ask questions to further assist people.
The culture was very calm and enjoyable. – more... The managers and employees are polite and respectful to everyone. The hardest part of the job was standing on my feet for long hours. The best part of the job was introducing new products to a group of customers. – less
Very interactive job that allows you to build customer service skills.
Temporary Holiday Sales Associate (Former Employee), Russellville, AR – February 11, 2014
Pros: free samples, got to test new products, 30% discount
Cons: having to physically touch customers to give bbw's "signiture" hand massage, not getting a lot of hours
A typical day would include making sure every product is fully stocked and the great and help every customer that enters the store. We inform them of any special deals that are currently going on and what new products we offer.
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Rochester, NY – February 10, 2014
Pros: just about everything
The best part about working at Bath and Body Works is that it's a very fun place to work. The customers are always great, as are the employees. Although the scheduling isn't always the best (along with the pay), it's worth it. The team meetings are always fun and educational (new products!!!). I also always enjoyed doing the floorsets and bringing out – more... the new products for the season. – less
