Barrie Metro Glass Inc. is looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, motivated and career-minded Project Coordinator who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and enjoys working in a team environment!
Located in Barrie and founded in 2002, Barrie Metro Glass specializes in large window projects, including curtain walls, high efficiency triple pane windows, and custom load baring window walls. Our Residential/Commercial Shower Division caters to all our customer’s glass and mirror needs.
The main responsibilities of the Project Coordinator are to assist the Project Manager with their project and supporting documents and drawings. The Project Coordinator is required to make himself available to all parties involved in the job and respond to questions and concerns.
Provides drawings to the General Manager and Project Managers upon their request, while ensuring the drawings’ measurement is accurate.
Liaise with the Management Assistant and Foreman for fabricating information, ensuring all deadlines are met and product is to specs.
Assist the General Manager and Project Managers with the conceptual development of the construction project, organization, scheduling, and implementation.
At the General Manager and Project Managers request changes drawings and ensure the communication of such changes to all parties involved, including subcontractors.
When required, provides all required information and documents to the Management Assistant, such as special products to order, material, etc..
Main contact for all drawings, to answer requests, concerns, questions, and all times provide exceptional customer service.
When required contact the architect, general contractor for specs information.
Develops a trusting relationship with general contractors, builders, sub-contractors, to ensure satisfaction and repeat business. Locates new sources of business and works
Minimum of 2 years of fabricating, and installing experience.
Minimum of 2 years of Project Coordinator work experience in the Glazing industry
Minimum of 1 year drawing work experience, preferably on AutoCad software
College diploma or University Degree in Business or Project Management
