We are a dynamic growing Web Solutions company located in Laval and that specializes in Web Solutions (Websites, eCommerce, eBusiness, Web Applications), Internet Marketing, Social Media and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
The IT System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure, including end-user & customer systems in-house & off-site. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual assists end-users & customers in troubleshooting and solving common hardware and software problems. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to organizational values, best industry practices, enabling staff, clients and vendor partners.
Tasks & Responsibilities
System Administration of Windows & Linux Servers
Network administration
Administration of Microsoft Exchange servers & Blackberry Enterprise Server
Administration of MySQL databases
Administration of Nagios Monitoring servers
Administration of multiple domain names and DNS entries
Tracking and troubleshooting email flow and issues
Monitoring server trends and services
Monitoring logs and security updates
Managing Backup & Replication Tasks
Managing Offsite Backups
User support / troubleshooting as required
Running reports
Keeping documentation up-to-date for procedures and disaster recovery plans
Knowledge & General Skills
Detailed knowledge of Windows & Linux O/S
Designing, deploying, managing VMWare environment
Designing, deploying, managing Backup, Storage and Hosting environments
Designing, deploying, managing a Linux LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
Great Project Management - Multi-Tasking - Autonomous
Knowledge for Web Technologies and infrastructure
Knowledge of scripting (BASH & PowerShell)
Understanding of SSL Certificates
Knowledge of Email RFC regulation and guidelines (RBL’s, DNS MX and PTR Records)
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, attention to detail and thoroughness, independence, creativity and Team Player.
Ability to adapt and learn new technologies and software
Very good oral and written communication

DEC or BAC in Information Technology, relevant experience or certifications
Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)
Minimum 7 years of System Administration experience
Experience of data centre environments
Ability to work under pressure with multiple projects
