Reporting to the Owner, this part-time (may lead to full time) Contract position is for a central member of the team whose focus is divided among various General Bookkeeping functions.
-Preparing Journal Entries
-Maintain Prepaids and other Balance Sheet accounts
-Complete Complex Bank Reconciliations
-Intercompany billing and reconciliations
-Complete various month-end and year-end duties including working paper preparation, and GL accounts analysis
-Full-cycle Accounts Receivable and collections
-Full-cycle Accounts Payable
-Financial Statement preparation for smaller companies
-Statistical and Government Reporting
-Year-end Financial Statements for our clients
-Back up support of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
-HST / GST / PST returns
-Ad Hoc Reporting and Special projects
-Participation in creation of new internal systems and processes
-Offering ongoing feedback of how we can improve from a bookkeeping service standpoint
-Developing a solid understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles
-Ability to solve problems, provide advice on technical matters and participate in client presentations
-Excellent interpersonal skills and experience providing exceptional client service
-Speak and write in fluent English
-Experience posting daily transactions
-Strong attention to detail
-Analytical Problem Solver
-Experience working with Quickbooks and Simply Accounting software
-A CGA designation
-Diploma / Degree in business with a major in accounting. OR an Accounting diploma
-At least four years of post designation Canadian experience in public practice
-At least four years of post designation Canadian experience in full cycle accounting
-Industry background of 3-4 years at least dealing with custom brokerage and Public companies
-Must have 3-4 years Canadian experience filing HST returns and WCB reports
-Must have 3-4 years Canadian experience with payroll
-Have 3-4 years experience of invoice generating
-Have 3-4 years Canadian experience creating Reports and statements
-3-4 years experience corresponding with clients for Q&A.

We are looking for a person with their CGA Accreditation who can help us give a more intricate level of service to our clients.
