PASTRY CHEF NEEDED ASAP FOR BAKERY-$17-19/H FOR START
We are currently looking for very experienced Pastry Chef. We require to have minimum 2 year of experience in the relative field. This is full-time permanent position.
Compensation: $17-$19/h for start based on the experience
- Bake and decorate cakes and pastries as per customer requirements.
- Interact with customers for orders and pickups.
- Deal with suppliers and business partners.
- Enter orders into computer systems.
- Answer phone calls and emails.
- Cleaning of utensils, store and equipment.
- Work overtime, evenings and weekends when required.
- Any other duties related to store operation as assigned by owner / supervisor.
Formal education as pastry chef or equivalent work experience.
2-3 years of experience.
Duties include but not limited to:
- daily production: pastries, cakes
- keep front counters and displays full and fresh
- weekly production: assessing needs according to orders and producing : sponge, creams, choux pastry, cookies, sfoglia, pound cakes, streudel, twists, chocolate pieces
- filling and finishing orders
- filling and finishing custom orders
- decorating with creams, fondant, gumpaste
- assist executive pastry chef as required
- schedule required production
- contribute to new recipe ideas, seasonal menu changes (assist exec pastry chef)
- contribute to custom designs
- customer service: required to help customers with custom orders
- daily cleaning
- maintain freezer inventory, cooler inventory, supply inventory
- assist with ordering supplies when required
