Accounts Receivable All Star - (Account Receivable Clerk)

Buhler Furniture is a locally-owned manufacturer of quality wood furniture products and has an immediate opening for a full time Accounts Receivable Clerk.

Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba
Position: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Salary: $28,000 - $38,000.00 depending upon experience

The successful candidate will be fluent in English and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. You have previous experience in an accounts receivable capacity in a manufacturing setting and are accustomed to a fast paced environment. You are driven by service excellence and thrive in a team environment. As a demonstrated problem solver, you possess a strong attention to detail and are proficient in MS Office products.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

To provide financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate payment of accounts under his or her control.

  • carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
  • follow up, collection and allocation of payments
  • reconciliation of accounts
  • monitoring customer account details for non payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
  • maintain accounts receivable customer files
  • follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash, adjustments, etc
  • investigate and resolve customer queries
  • organizing a recovery system and initiate collection efforts
  • communicating with customers via phone, email, mail or personally
  • maintain up-to-date billing system
  • prepare bank deposits when requested
  • process adjustments

A successful candidate will have:

ducation and Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years accounts receivable collection and general accounting experience together with knowledge of accounts receivable, aging and management processes, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • knowledge of office administration and procedures
  • knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
