Field Service Technicians are involved in overseeing the mechanical, chemical, organic and electrical processes utilized to stabilize drilling fluid, provide enhanced drilling properties and recycle drilling fluids with the use of BOE’s proprietary SmartsiteTM closed loop system.
Daily Responsibilities include:
Repair, maintain, set up and rig down solids control equipment
Service and maintain solids control equipment on a daily or weekly basis as directed
Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical or mechanical issues
Complete all required paper work (safety documents, work orders, service records)
Work in shop during slow periods to assist in the maintenance and repair of all BOE equipment
Monitor centrifuges, premix tanks, light plants and associated products & services required in dewatering solutions
Qualifications:
A valid class 5 driver's license with clean abstract required
Mechanical aptitude and Millwright experience considered an asset
Ability to work on-call on a rotating basis as scheduled
Strong written and verbal communication skills that will promote effective communication between customers, colleagues and management
Flexible and motivated to work in a fast paced, demanding environment and respond to change quickly
First Aid and H2S certification required
Oil field knowledge considered an asset
Ability to work outside for up to 12 hours per day
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written English communication skills
Working knowledge of basic computing programs (Word, Excel, Office)
